Job Description:

The Director of Operational Execution is responsible for managing and supporting the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the development of processes and systems that will allow the organization to sustain and support growth. This includes but is not limited to organizational structure, training, reporting, project management, account management, new business generation and strategy.Essential Functions

  • Leads the design, development and implementation of programs, processes and strategies tailored to meet goals and objectives of business unit.
  • Provides consultative services to the business unit regarding organization structure, talent and growth opportunities.
  • Plans and leads short- and long-term planning for programs, processes and systems that will further develop the organization.
  • Partners with HR on identification of training programs and organization structure alignment, to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Manages people and other resources that provide operation and safety training to the business unit.
  • Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet business unit goals and provide for effective management of resources.
  • Analyses customer information and makes recommendations regarding account management, assignment and growth opportunities.
  • Assists with the facilitation and coaching of managers regarding development methods and tools.
  • Manages the development planning process for managers and emerging leaders.
  • Manage special projects as identified and or directed.
  • Provides reporting on service levels, forecasting, account assignment and segmentation.
  • Analyze and make changes to workflow of reporting processes.
  • Ensures that data used to make business decisions is clean and accurate.Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field, required. MBA and/or Masters' degree in Business, Communications, Change Management or related field, preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in the transportation or 3PL/Distribution industry required.
  • 5 - 7 years as a people leader required.
  • 3 - 5 years with customer relationship and change management experience required.
  • Experience with manufacturing continuous improvement strategies such as, LEAN, 6-Sigma and related. Includes experience in advanced phases of application.
  • LSS Green or Black Belt preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Fluency in Spanish required if aligned to our Fleet Services/Material Handling Business.
  • Business Acumen - Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization.
  • Communicate for Impact - Devoting the time and resources necessary to communicate the strategic vision, direction, priorities, and progress of the team for which you are responsible.
  • Leading People - Ability to develop and implement strategies to maximize employee performance and foster employee engagement in meeting the organization's strategy.
  • Managing Transitions / Change Management - Effectively plans, manages and communicates changes in processes with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Relationship Management - Building and maintaining relationships with internal partners to successfully complete projects and organizational objectives.
  • Strategic Agility - Gains perspective and balances the pressure between daily tasks and strategic actions that impact the long-term viability of the organization.Travel RequirementsThis position is expected to travel approximately 25%-50%; If aligned to our Fleet Services/Material Handling Business, travel may increase to 75% given business needs.
