Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to
develop workflows and algorithms for assay/product development in
genomics and next-generation sequencing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-performance bioinformatics workflows for analyzing
large volumes of NGS data
Build and evaluate algorithms and statistical models to enhance
genetics applications
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to maintain software
solutions compatible with distributed systems
Required Qualifications and Education
Masters with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years of experience in
Bioinformatics or Computational Biology
Working knowledge of standard bioinformatic tools used in NGS
pipelines
Experience with pipeline workflow engines like Nextflow or
Snakemake
Strong knowledge of Genomics and Molecular Biology
Understanding of Cloud Computing and formal software development
experience
