Job Description:
Maximus is searching for a Data Architect for a team in
Arlington, VA.Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services)
Internal Job Profile Code: TCS070, T4, Band 7Position Overview:
- The Data Architect is responsible for providing subject matter
expertise to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) Directorate and to
support senior level leadership.
- Provide strategic advice, counsel, and sound recommendations to
support and defend policy decisions, synchronize investments, and
drive sound outcomes.
- Create, define, and evolve the "as-is" and "to-be" data
architecture for the DoD SAP IT data services.
- Develop strategies and provide a framework to determine how to
grow new data assets and evaluate existing data assets.
- Define and provide data architecture services and reviews,
ensuring the compliance of design and meta-data standards.
- Develop and recommend technical solutions for data including
data ingestion, integration, transformations, and storage.
- Work with subject matter experts and participate in client data
standards committees.The successful candidate will:
- Support the client to ensure executability and adherence to
Department of Defense guidance and policies.
- Develop documents to support Program Objective Memorandum
Requirements and assist with the development of annual reporting
requirements to Congress.
- Have strong experience with database & enterprise architecture
design/development.
- Investigate and implement new and improved data standards
including the conversion of legacy data standards.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
skills.
- Work independently and as part of a cross-functional,
team-based environment, engaging with diverse stakeholders and
teams.
- Have 8+ years of experience with leading design,
implementation, and management of IT data abstraction layers.
- Have 8+ years of experience standardizing data architecture and
data management practices.
- Have 8+ years of experience creating and implementing data
business rules/logic and data lifecycle management (cradle to
grave).
- Help plan, develop, and implement data services in support of
data profiling, curation including data cleansing.
- Have 8+ years of experience mapping customer legacy data models
to target Data Models.
- Have 8+ years of experience developing and delivering long-term
strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in
conjunction with data stewards, mission managers, and other key
stakeholders.
- Have 8+ years of experience identifying and facilitating the
implementation of effective solutions across an enterprise for
addressing data related needs.Required Skills, Qualifications, and
Experience:
- Must have an active TS/SCI.
- A bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science,
Engineering, Business, or related field is required for this
position or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may
be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. An Associate's
degree and 2 years of relevant work experience may also be
considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Desired experience working with Special Access Programs and
working at the OSD, Joint Staff or Service Staff level.
- Desired experience with ML, AI, Python and R and Data
Ontologies.
- 8+ years of experience with performing CDO analysis, design,
coding, testing, QA/QC, user training, customer support,
enhancement, migration, and retirement phases.
- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, including
the ability to pivot and respond to and integrate information from
various sources.
- Strong knowledge of various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL),
data integration (ETL/ELT) frameworks, data security (ZT, ACCM) and
DoD cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Advanced knowledge of system engineering and enterprise
architecture tools.
- 8+ years proficiency in structured, semi-structured and
structured data sets.
- 8+ years expertise in Data modeling, Data Warehousing,
AI/ML/NLP, data profiling.
- 8+ years mastery of data management processes, system analysis
principles, techniques, and process engineering concepts sufficient
to recommend the most beneficial implementation approaches, assess
the impact of new data management and IT policies, and lead
implementation activities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment; coordinate and
perform multiple assignments.
