• Certification Details
• Must be AHA BLS and ACLS certified.
• Valid licenses and certifications must be presented and verified.

  • Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans.
  • Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must be AHA BLS and ACLS certified.
    • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
    • Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs.
    • Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years: Ascension Color Vision.
    • Required training and certifications: HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics, Ascension Core Competencies, NIH Certification, Ascension EKG Exam, Ascension Nova StatStrip.
    • Health requirements: MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot), Varicella, Tdap.
    • Professional documentation: Ascension Profile, Ascension 2 Professional References, Ascension Criminal Background Check Results, Ascension EPLS, Ascension OFAC, Ascension Skills Checklist, Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen, Ascension Badge Photo, Ascension Education Verification, Ascension Confirmation of Assignment.
    • Ascension Influenza Vaccine Exemption/Declination process outlined.
