Job Description:
A company is looking for a Director of Claims and
Litigation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage claims and litigation case information, including
formulating investigation plans and evaluating claims for liability
and damages
Supervise outside defense counsel and direct the negotiation of
claims/lawsuits to resolution
Present comprehensive information at internal claim reviews and
monitor compliance with reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent related experience;
clinical healthcare degree or graduate degree in law or hospital
administration preferred
Six to ten years of experience as a liability claims professional,
defense malpractice attorney, or hospital risk manager
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and risk management
principles
Ability to handle sensitive situations and information with
integrity and maturity
Experience in a collaborative leadership environment and strong
analytical skills
